WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The search for a missing teacher from the North Rose-Wolcott School District will resume at daybreak Friday.

Frederick Dunn, 48, has been missing since Wednesday when the music teacher left school while working with students on a school play. He told them he needed to run errands, but never returned.

Dunn's abandoned car was later found on the shore of Lake Ontario in the Town of Huron. Law enforcement conducted a search for him Thursday, but the snow and wind prevented them from searching by air or in the water. They called off efforts early in the evening and plan to go back out on Friday.

Meanwhile, a vigil was held for Dunn Thursday night at Wolcott's First Baptist Church, as community members continue to hold out hope that he is alive and well.

Our cameras were not allowed inside, but we're told there were more than a hundred people in attendance.
