BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A Binghamton man is arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife and stealing her purse.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Market Street shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday night. Deputies say the victim suffered minor injuries after being stabbed by a knife.
According to investigators, Esteban Valdes, 39, ran from the scene with her purse. The victim also stated that she had an order of protection against him.
Valdes faces numerous charges including second degree assault and aggravated criminal contempt. He was sent to the Broome County Sheriff's Correctional Facility without bail.
