CENTRAL NEW YORK -- It seems like the snow hasn't stopped falling since temperatures dropped from those record highs on Wednesday. The conditions were once again treacherous Friday night on roads all over Onondaga and Madison counties.
A band of lake effect snow is to blame. It is expected to lift off to the north at some point during the overnight.
Earlier Friday, the weather was to blame for more than half a dozen accidents that shut down portions of Route 81. About 20 vehicles, including several tractor trailers, were involved. Only a couple people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
