By: Web Staff

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are searching for a suspect in the city's latest shooting. Officers were called to the 2400 block of Midland Avenue just before 11 Friday night.

Police say Jamel Works, 28, was hit in both legs by shotgun pellets. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital and is expected to recover.

As they searched the scene, officers found a 20 gauge shotgun hidden behind a home on West Newell Street. They believe it's the weapon used in the shooting.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the incident to give them a call at (315)442-5222.
