AURELIUS, N.Y. -- A crash off Route 90 in Aurelius left a gaping hole in this home just off the road. Firefighters say there was no one home Friday afternoon when the crash happened.

It's still unclear what caused the driver to lose control, that person was hospitalized, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Crews do say that the crash caused significant structural damage to the home, and the owners will not be able to stay there for the time being.
