CICERO, N.Y. -- People packed the American Legion in Cicero to support a local woman fighting cancer.

Renee Dillon was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in September. The disease has since spread to her spine.

Organizers convinced dozens of businesses and many members of the community to help the cause.

Organizer Patti Hanno said, "It's unbelievable turnout. These people have been wonderful. There have been so many helpers, so many volunteers. Our friends from even when they are kids have come out of the woodwork to help her. It's just been amazing."

Money raised went directly to Renee and her family. They're taking on additional costs as she takes on the disease.
