Six arrested after Westmoreland house party investigation
WESTMORELAND, N.Y. -- Six people were arrested after a month-long investigation into a party back in December.
The chief of the Child Advocacy Center says on December 4th, his office received a number of calls regarding a party on Shed Road in Westmoreland. Callers reported alcohol at that residence, as well as an alleged sexual assault. Police have now arrested five young men:
- John Becker, 18
- Aaron Dashnaw, 17
- Devon Williams, 16
- Sean O'Brien, 20
- Marvin Sherman III, 18
All have been charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child. Both are Class A misdemeanors.
Tina Williams, 36, who lives at the residence, was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child. All will appear in Westmoreland Town Court on January 23rd. The individual involved in the sexual assault has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.
