OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The superintendent for the Oswego City School District has announced his retirement. William Crist informed the school board sending members a letter. Crist will leave his post at the end of the school year.
The decision comes after he couldn't reach an agreement with the school board to renew his contract. In the letter, Crist said:
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as superintendent of schools in the district and community in which I have lived and worked for the past 30 years. I am proud, honored and humbled to have served in the positions of teacher, administrator and superintendent in the wonderful school district from which I graduated."
