BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A fire on Montgomery Street in Binghamton has closed off several blocks in the area, as firefighters battle massive flames that can be seen across Interstate 81.

The fire was reported shortly before 11:00 p-m at 115 Montgomery Street. Three buildings sit adjacent to one another at the location, and all are believed to be engulfed in flames. The buildings just hundreds of feet from Interstate 81. The department of transportation has closed down exits in the area and is helping direct traffic.
