Search for robbery suspect in Rome

ROME, N.Y. -- Rome police are working to locate a robbery suspect in the city. Police say a man entered the A-Plus Sunoco on East Dominick Street around 3 a.m. Tuesday, asking to buy cigarettes. But when the store clerk opened the register, the suspect threaded the clerk with an unknown object, and took money from the register himself. The suspect then ran away.

The store clerk was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a male, about six feet tall with a medium build.
