Man in serious condition after being shot

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating a shooting on the city's north side that left one person seriously injured.

Officers responded to the intersection of Butternut and Grassman streets around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. They say they found Aubrey Anderson, 26, with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition. Police say he is expected to survive.

Officers say the suspect is 5-feet-5-inches tall, 120 pounds and is in his late teens. They say he was last seen running east on Knaul Street.
