SYRACUSE, N.Y. - With seven double-doubles in 10 games, the most assists in Division I, and the third-most steals, Syracuse sophomore Michael Carter-Williams has been put on the watch list for the 2013 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award.
Carter-Williams is averaging 10.7 assists per game, two more than any other player, and 3.4 steals per game. The Cousy Award list will be narrowed from more than 80 players to 20 in January and then cut down to five finalists in March. A selection committee appointed by the Hall of Fame will decide the winner which will be announced prior to the NCAA championship game.
