SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- CenterState CEO President Rob Simpson calls it a great day for Central New York. The region was awarded $93.8 million for 73 projects. It was one of the top performers among the ten regions.

Simpson credits the success of the last round of grants for this year's good news.

"I'm really proud that 71 of the 74 projects that got funded last year are on track and underway and scheduled for completion this year. That's a great track record and I think it played in our favor," Simpson said.

Some of the project's this year's grants will fund include enabling the Syracuse Community Health Center to establish a health care campus on South Salina Street and redeveloping the former Sibley's Department store into retail and residential space.
