SYRACUSE, N.Y. - After going three games without a 3-pointer, Syracuse senior James Southerland looked like his usual self on Saturday with three longballs against Canisius as part of his game-high 21 points.

Southerland has now scored 35 points over his past two games after scoring just six total in the previous two.

Saturday's game also marked a reunion for three former high school teammates: Brandon Triche, Dajuan Coleman, and Alshwan Hymes, who won a state championship together at Jamesville-DeWitt. Triche and Hymes have been friends since they were in the sixth grade but their time together was brief due to Canisius' tight travel schedule and Hymes being suspended for the first half of the game due to a reported missed curfew.
