Decreasing gas prices a welcome relief
A frequent expense is starting to see a steady decrease. Gas prices in the North Country have been falling over the past three weeks. YNN's Carmella Mataloni spoke with motorists at the pump who say the decrease has been leaving extra money in their pockets.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- After topping off at more than $4 a gallon earlier this year, gas prices have finally dropped. Some places like the Valero on Arsenal Street are as low as $3.61. People say it's always nice to see the numbers come down.
"Obviously it's going to be less time at the pump. Saving money on gas you don't have to car pool anymore or do those kinds of things, so it's good," said Justin Chirico of Watertown.
Glen Lawson visits Watertown frequently from Portland, Ontario. He says with the recent decrease he wishes he could fill up here every day, since his truck takes a lot to fill.
"When I fill this it's about $120 in Ontario...but when I fill it here, it's only about $80 so it helps a lot," said Glen Lawson of Ontario.
Other ways motorists are saving on gas include discount cards at gas stations like Sunoco.
"Today I actually saved some money because I was over at the grocery store and got some money off on my gas so that is what prompted me to come today," said Kathy Falge of Watertown.
Folks say that they hope to see prices at the pump continue to drop, because that extra money they're saving is helping them during the holiday season.
"It helps a lot...especially because this time of year you have to spend extra money on other things that you don't usually do. So it helps a lot," said Falge.
