CENTRAL NEW YORK -- A Cayuga County baby with a rare skin disorder is back in the hospital. Baby Easton's family says he returned to Upstate University Hospital Wednesday after having difficulty breathing.

After several tests, it appears as though Easton has a bad cold.

Easton, who was born in August, spent the first few months of his life in hospitals before going home earlier this month.

At a fundraiser last week, the community raised $10,000 to help pay for medical bills. Easton suffers from Epidermolysis bullosa, or E-B, which causes the skin to blister or be missing from some areas entirely. His condition will require extensive and expensive medical care and supplies for the rest of his life.
