WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A truck filled with donated supplies is preparing to leave for Nassau County.

Waite Toyota donated the truck and event coordinators filled with water, baby supplies, paper products and children’s' presents for the victims of hurricane Sandy.

Paul Jantzi and Doug Anderson will be driving the truck from Watertown to the Long Beach Fire Department Thursday morning.

Anderson said, "It's a huge tragedy. Probably nearly as big as Hurricane Katrina or nearly as big as Katrina and people are homeless or waiting to go back into their homes. There is a need for it."

Donations came from all over, including Super Formula Products, which donated boxes filled with paper and cleaning products.
