Fulton residents approve school renovations
FULTON, N.Y. -- People in the City of Fulton may see a small increase in taxes in the coming years. Voters passed the nearly $9 million capital project by almost 120 votes.
The $8.8 million will help fund the final phase of a plan to upgrade and modernize Fulton schools and facilities. The district says that once the project is approved by the education department, residents and businesses could see a zero to two percent increase over a 15 year span.
Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2014 and be completed in just one year.
