Teen pleads guilty to assaulting father

SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A teenager pleaded guilty to assaulting his father, which put him in a coma. Andrew Yaw, 19, of Trumansburg admitted Wednesday to hitting his father, Clifford Yaw, with a metal level back in February.

Yaw said he hit his father several times, causing numerous skull fractures and putting him in a coma for several months. Clifford Yaw is a board member for the Town of Hector.

Andrew Yaw also admitted to assaulting an inmate at the Schuyler County Jail back in June. He's expected to get 20 years in prison for one assault charge and another two years for the other.
