CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The man accused of killing former Sherburne-Earlville Principal Keith Reed is expected to return to Western New York from Virginia this week to answer to those charges.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office says Anthony Taglianetti is eligible for return to New York because he did not file the proper court paperwork.

Taglianetti is accused of fatally shooting Reed on September 21st. At the time, Reed was working as superintendent of Clymer Schools in Western New York.

Taglianetti was caught by Virginia law enforcement later that month but had been fighting extradition to New York to face a charge of second-degree murder.

The District Attorney's Office says authorities have until January 4th to return Taglianetti. Local officials plan to travel to Virginia this week to bring him back.
