SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Baldwinsville man admits to killing his wife.

Robert Burger pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Onondaga County Court Monday.

Rebecca Dethlefs, 56, was killed in January. Investigators discovered her body inside her Van Buren home. The medical examiner's report said she died from blunt force trauma to the head.

This will be the second time Burger has been sent to prison for murder. He served 28 years in prison for killing a priest in New York City.

Sentencing in Onondaga County Court has been scheduled for January 15th.
