FRANKFORT, N.Y. -- A home was destroyed in Herkimer County after an early morning fire. It started on Dutch Hill Road in Frankfort around 3 a.m. Friday. Four crews had to be called in to put the fire out.

The only person inside the home when the fire started was able to escape safely.

The Frankfort Fire Department is still looking into the cause.
