BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Students at Seton Catholic High School were in the spirit Monday. They boxed up and loaded more than 50 Thanksgiving dinners.
From stuffing and mashed potatoes to all sorts of canned goods, everything was donated to Broome County Catholic Charities. The supplies will help them as they distribute the goods to families in need.
The message this year is no matter how small the gift, the donation would help a family who had real needs.
"We talked about a family where one of the parents died unexpectedly. Talked about another family where both parents have lost their jobs over the past six months. So we tried to paint a portrait of families and why they are in need so the students can relate more to why are we doing this," said Seton Catholic Central Principal Richard Bucci.
This year's drive was expected to bring in more than one thousand dollars worth of food and gift cards.
