SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It's one of the top honors for young professionals in Central New York. This year's 40 under 40 class was honored Wednesday.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Oncenter for a luncheon, celebrating the individuals and their achievements.

This year, more than 70 nominations were submitted. The 40 winners were chosen not only for their career success, but for their all-around contributions to society.

"This is all highlighting individuals in our community who excel in the work place, but they also excel in the community by giving back and volunteering," said Joyl Clance, Biz Eventz Manager.
