BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton Police are investigating a shooting on the city’s north side.

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot several times in the legs in the parking lot of Town and Country Apartments on Roberts Street. The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

A short time later, paramedics found the victim inside a building nearby. He was taken to Wilson Hospital and was conscious and alert. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Police were on scene late Tuesday night. They have not named any suspects at this time, but continue to investigate.
