BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Shortly after the storm struck in New York City, employees of O'Connor Investments geared up to help out. They created a Facebook event page encouraging people to donate supplies by dropping them off at their business.

Since that time, the support has grown. Workers were able to completely fill an SUV with supplies this weekend. The goods were brought to the Endwell Fire Department to be taken to the city.

Organizers were amazing at how many people they were able to reach with social media. They were also impressed with the strong local support, as many families in the Southern Tier are still recovering from Tropical Storm Lee's devastation.

"The people just had no hesitation. They say not only, 'what do we have left over?', but, 'what do you need?'," said Leo O'Connor, O'Connor Investments President. "People gave us different ideas for needs."

O'Connor said they are still looking for water, diapers, batteries, and more.
