SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Crouse Hospital has announced another round of cuts, one month after laying off about two dozen employees.
Crouse is now cutting 70 jobs in anticipation of decreases in Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements, which has to do with health care reform.
The hospital's spokesman says 23 of the positions were vacant. The rest include nursing, nursing support and non-nursing positions.
Last month, the hospital cut 23 management positions and is closing its outpatient diabetes program in Liverpool at the end of the month.
