BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Another win for Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo Tuesday night as she reclaims her seat against Republican Julie Lewis of Vestal in the 126th District.

This win for the Endwell native means she will be entering her ninth year in the State Assembly.

Lupardo has been working with the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council, brainstorming ways to encourage economic growth.

As for the hot-button issue of hydraulic fracturing, Lupardo feels more research needs to be done. She says she’s thrilled to be voted back in.

"I’m very grateful,” said Lupardo. “I’m very grateful to my constituents. I try very hard to listen to their concerns and reach across party lines to actually accomplish something. Try to address the concerns people address. I feel very rewarded."

Lupardo also wants the state to look at flood mitigation for the Southern Tier.
