ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Elmira police have made two arrests as an investigation continues into meth production in the city.
Authorities searched the home at 373 West Gray Street Friday, as well as the garage behind the home, and the Sheriff's office says they found a meth lab at the site.
Police had the street closed from Davis to Columbia Street as they searched for evidence and made sure the area was safe.
A woman at the home, Kimberly Bennett, 26, was wanted for petit larceny and was processed and released.
A man at the scene, Jamie Lawson, 43, was also arrested. He has been charged with second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was sent to the Chemung County Jail without bail.
Authorities are still investigating and they expect more charges to be filed.
