Elmira residents came out Saturday night to support Kelly Rothwell. The Florida woman has been missing since March 12th. Her boyfriend has been seen in Elmira but has refused to cooperate with police. As our Bill Mich tells us, there are people who just want to see Kelly Rothwell get home.

"We came out to show tonight that we support Kelly Rothwell. Elmira does."

Rothwell has been missing in Florida since mid-March. While she has no connection to Elmira, her boyfriend, David Perry does and has been seen in the area. So far he has refused to cooperate in the search. But the Elmira community is doing what they can to raise awareness in the search for Kelly Rothwell.

"Really proud of our residents here in Elmira and their commitment to try and bring Kelly home," said vigil organizer Jolynn Morgan.

The only people who knew Rothwell at Saturday's vigil were her sisters, who made the trip up from Baltimore to experience just how much Elmira really cares.

"It's very, very loving and very caring for them to do that and we really really appreciate it. Their dedication and everything," said Rothwell's sister Lindsay.

The vigil included poem and prayer readings followed by a candlelit walk around the lake. Rothwell's sister's hope the outpouring of community support encourages her boyfriend to get involved in her search.

"He did say to my sister that he was the love of her life and she was his soul mate and he couldn't imagine living his life without her and if that was true, then he should be down in Florida looking for her or speaking or cooperating with the cops," said Lindsay Rothwell.

"The ultimate goal in all this is just finding her," said Lauren Rothwell.

Saturday night, residents of Elmira tried to light Kelly Rothwell's way home.
