INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A police recruit from Florida has been missing for nearly three weeks, and investigators want to talk to her live-in boyfriend.

Friends say 35-year-old Kelly Rothwell was thinking of leaving David Perry right before she disappeared from their beachfront apartment near St. Petersburg. He's a former prison guard from Elmira, N.Y.

Rothwell's body hasn't been found, and detectives have scant evidence to prove that any crime was committed at all. Perry has refused to take a DNA test or even talk to authorities beyond having his lawyer give them a loose, three-hour timeline of the night Rothwell disappeared.

In the meantime, Perry has left Florida and gone back to New York.
