Monday’s massive tornado in Oklahoma left entire communities in shambles. First responders and families have been working hard to recover all week and during that time, the Red Cross has been there to help. Area churches help Oklahoma tornado victims

Although we're more than a thousand miles away from Moore, Oklahoma, area churches are working together to help victims of Monday's tornado. New look to the race for Congress

A new job for Ann Marie Buerkle could change the outlook for the race for Congress in the 24th District in 2014. Buerkle has been nominated to fill a republican seat on the Federal Consumer Protection Board. If approved by the Senate, her term would run through 2018. The move was read as a decision by Buerkle to step away from yet another run for Congress, although she says a candidacy is still an option. YNN's Bill Carey says the nomination has stirred more discussion of the race ahead.

City to add more hydrants due to lack of water pressure

More fire hydrants are coming to one section of Syracuse. This comes after complaints and concern from some firefighters about water pressure at a fire on Clairmonte Avenue Sunday. The city is planning to spend $40,000 on upgrades so far. But as Iris St. Meran explains, some don't believe that will solve the problem for the city's aging infrastructure.
