UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica police arrested a woman and charged her with arson after two early morning fires. Firefighters were called to 15 Grant Street twice Monday morning. The first call came in at 4:30 a.m.

Investigators said Joann Calicchia, 44, was burning her husband's clothes in a backyard fireplace. Firefighters were called back to the home two hours later and put out a fire on the second floor porch. Investigators said Calicchia intentionally set the porch on fire while three adults and four children were sleeping in a first floor apartment.

Calicchia was arrested and charged with second degree arson.
