SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- For the fourth year, workers at non-profit organizations are being recognized for their dedication.

Twenty-three awards were given out at the M and T Bank Non-Profit Awards luncheon Wednesday afternoon at the OnCenter in Syracuse. The winners of the awards are mostly executives of groups and organizations that directly help people in need.

Lee DeAmicis, Administrative Vice President of M&T Bank said, “We're certainly seeing a lot of people donating their time. The amount of treasure that's been donated lately is not as strong as it had been. And certainly for the government areas it's been cut. So people are spending more time and really supporting the entities that they want to see succeed and give back to the community."

This year, YNN anchor JoDee Kenney hosted the ceremony.
